The Southern Grade Winter Marketplace will coincide with the Grand Illumination of Downtown on Friday, December 1st, an annual holiday tradition that draws thousands of visitors into the immediate area. In addition, there will be the largest gathering of Tuba players ever assembled in Richmond on Friday evening within the space (200+) along with a jazz ensemble and live music throughout the weekend.

Now in its 53rd year, Craft + Design is a museum-quality show that has garnered national accolades and a reputation for showcasing the finest in contemporary crafts. Awards are presented in ceramics, contemporary design, fiber, glass, innovative use of traditional craft materials, precious metals, and wood and recycled materials. We also honor artists with the New Artist Award and the Best Booth Design Award. Last year’s Elisabeth Scott Bocock Best in Show Award went to glass artist Sean Donlon.
This year’s event will take place November 17-19, 2017 at Main Street Station’s newly renovated train shed.
This premier show and sale of contemporary craft and design includes 195 of the finest and most dynamic craft artists in the United States, selected from more than 1,000 applicants. This year we welcome 25 talented artists from Korea. All work is for sale.

In celebration of local farmers, artisans, and chefs, we invite you to Caromont Farm for our third annual Virginia Wine Dinner. October is known as Virginia Wine Month and we excitedly welcome Ian Boden of The Shack to craft a meal centered around delicious, locally made wines and ciders. The blacksmiths of Blanc Creatives will be joining us for a "cocktail" hour demo, highlighting their beautiful cookware which will be used by Chef Boden throughout the meal and available for purchase. This collaborative night will put the spotlight on Virginia producers, and as always, we will be kicking it off with a Caromont goat meet & greet.

Field + Supply began in 2014, as a modern interpretation of a traditional arts and crafts fair. It consists of a carefully curated selection of makers highlighting goods, old and new, from a variety of studios and workshops representing a wide range of crafts. This year, the fourth Field+Supply will be held on the west banks of the Hudson River at the Hutton Brickyards on October 6th, 7th and 8th in Kingston, NY. The Hutton Brickyards is a beautiful, newly renovated event complex that feels like the perfect backdrop for this year’s fair. We look forward to another amazing weekend. We hope you will join us!
