Founder + Owner

Corry Blanc

Very first crew member as of 2012

Corry has been making a name for himself since he founded Blanc Creatives in 2012. He was born and raised in north Georgia, moved to Charlottesville in 2007, and became a first-time dad as of September 2020. Some of his favorite musicians include Nathaniel Rateliff, Damon Alburn, Bahamas, and The Rolling Stones. Corry has a genuine aptitude for MacGyvering just about anything and everything we’d need in the shop. He’s passionate about photography and has slowly been adding to his vintage camera collection in recent years.

Operations Manager

Trey

Crew member since 2019

Originally from Canaan Valley, West Virginia, Trey is the behind-the-scenes maestro of customer service and office operations, solving daily puzzles with spreadsheets, quick wit, and enthusiasm. After time in the corporate world, he traded the grind for something more genuine: joining friends in Waynesboro to help build small businesses that make real things with real impact. He thrives on balancing above-and-beyond service with production team sanity. Outside of work, Trey’s often deep in a batch of homemade stock or riffing on tacos with hominy puree, maitake mushrooms, and fried okra strips. Inspired by all things authentic, from the magic of Phish to the genius of David Lynch and Hideo Kojima, he brings a nerdy love of systems and deep respect for craft to everything he does.

Christopher K

Crew member since 2021

Christopher Knox came to Waynesboro from New York City, trading the city grind for mountain roads and a fresh start. Now a core part of the Blanc Creatives crew, he crafts cookware with soul and Rock n’ Roll. A motorcycle enthusiast with a deep love for UFOlogy, cryptozoology, and pro wrestling, Christopher lives for the weird and the wild, finding inspiration on long rides through the mountains with sludgy metal on full blast. For Christopher, craftsmanship means putting everything into each pan; each piece is his absolute best. He’s honored to create tools that become part of people’s lives, through birthdays, holidays, date nights, and grilled cheese masterpieces for grandkids. “My work will be there for strangers around the world to create their own family memories long after I’m gone. It means a lot to me.” Final note: Many think they have the best dog, but Christopher’s dog Roscoe is the greatest.

Brady

Crew member since 2021

Originally from Rockford, Illinois, Brady landed in Waynesboro after falling for the Shenandoah Valley’s charm and the chance to work with products he loves using in his own kitchen. Quiet, skeptical, and conscientious, he’s the behind-the-scenes force in fulfillment, making sure every piece gets wrapped up with love and care before heading to its new home. A motorcycling enthusiast and VW Hot Wheels collector, Brady finds joy in the little things, like hanging out with his nephews, watching motor racing, and lasagna nights with Maggie, his endlessly energetic wife and biggest inspiration. Brady's favorite Blanc piece is the 13” Pro Roaster, a true workhorse, and he hopes that one day all carbon steel owners will use soap and warm water to clean their pans. It’s perfectly safe!

Hannah

Crew member since 2021

Originally from Philadelphia, Hannah made her way to Waynesboro to study at the Virginia Institute of Blacksmithing and never looked back. Determined, curious, and funny, she brings a sharp eye and steady hand to every item she helps create, pouring heart and precision into each one. Hannah loves using the power hammer to work on carving forks, but as our copper specialist, her favorite piece is the 11” copper saucier, a true labor of love. Whether she’s cycling, building models, or diving into a good book, Hannah’s always chasing the thrill of transformation; turning raw materials into something beautiful. Pot roast might be her comfort dish, but her craftsmanship is anything but ordinary.

Nick

Crew member since 2022

Nick hails from Buckingham, Virginia, and settled in Waynesboro after meeting his wife. He joined Blanc Creatives shortly after the move, bringing years of hands-on experience and a deep love for blacksmithing. A carpenter’s apprentice at 15, Nick has always felt at home working with his hands, whether forging knives, paddling rivers, or casting lines as an avid fisherman. His greatest passion is being a father; the joy of seeing his children’s faces adds meaning to everything he does. At Blanc, Nick takes pride in the evolving cutlery line, especially collaborating with Corry on finish and design. Inspired by faith and family, he sees craftsmanship as taking pride in your work while always striving to learn more. His favorite project is hammer forging the walls on the Heritage Line, where each strike is like a fingerprint from the maker.

Head of Woodshop

hailey

Crew member since 2022

Born and raised in Hanover, Virginia, Hailey found her way to Blanc Creatives through her sister’s recommendation and a leap of faith after earning her BFA from JMU. Today, she’s still joyfully buried in sawdust, crafting utensils and more that will last a lifetime. Her favorite projects are butcher’s blocks, especially one-off runs that transform scrap wood into stunning, functional art. Creative, determined, and cheerful to the core, Hailey draws inspiration from her faith, her family, and the beauty of nature. Whether painting live at weddings with her husband or stretching absurdly shaped canvases, her hands are always busy making something meaningful. Hailey loves grilled cheeses made on the griddle, though butter noodles with mozzarella and parmesan might be the real masterpiece.

Crew member since 2022

Christopher Anderson hails from Gloucester, Virginia, and brings over thirty years of culinary experience to the Blanc Creatives crew. After owning and running a restaurant, he discovered a love for cooking with carbon steel, now channeled into the forge, crafting tools that elevate the kitchen experience he knows so well. Though cooking is his primary passion, Christopher A. also enjoys sailing on the Chesapeake Bay, composing music, and watching films both classic and contemporary. His favorite dish? Beef Wellington. His go-to Blanc tool is the bronze-handled 9” skillet, prized for its utility and beauty. While smithing is a newer pursuit, working with his hands has always come naturally. For Christopher A., craftsmanship isn’t just a value, it’s everything. He’s driven by the challenge of creating better, more meaningful work, whether at the stove or the anvil.
