This small run of serving boards began with a beautiful set of curly walnut boards that made their way through the shop this spring. Each board carries its own figure and character. No two are exactly alike.
Each piece is shaped to 17" × 8.5" x .75" and finished with breadboard ends, a traditional joinery detail used to help keep wide boards flat while still allowing the wood to move naturally with the seasons. A subtle hand-planed shadow line marks the joint, while a deep chamfer on the underside lightens the form and gives the board a comfortable grip.
Every board is shaped, sanded, and finished by hand in our Virginia workshop and treated with a food-safe oil and wax finish that brings out the warmth and depth of the walnut.
At home on the table with bread and butter, cheese and fruit, or simply resting on the counter between meals.

Pieces that do not meet our quality standards as \"Firsts\" will be offered at a discount on our Garage Sale/Seconds Page. \"Seconds\" will have minor cosmetic flaws, such as small pits, extra hammer marks, and tooling marks, but these will mostly fade with use and never impact performance.

- This product is not dishwasher safe. Extreme temperature changes will cause damage like warping or cracking.
- To maintain longevity, hand-wash with mild soap and thoroughly towel-dry. Avoid letting soak in water.
- Each wood piece is pre-conditioned with our all-natural, food-safe, and allergy-friendly blend of linseed oil and beeswax. Reapply wood balm as needed.
